After a year and a half in the Middle East - countless time passing through Amman, and a rather extended time recently in Jordan - I FINALLY made it to Petra. Although many tourist destinations are overrated, I have to say that Petra was definitely worth the rather exorbitant $30 admission price (seems to be the main source of Jordan's income...).
